i usually use mastodon in the browser, but i actually do have a native app on my laptop, which i use so rarely that i either forget how good it is, or i'm constantly missing updates…

with open source development, it helps so much to remember that you're not a business but a human being and that users of your app aren't customers; to take breaks as you need them, especially if you also have a "real" job, other responsibilities, are taking a vacation or just need time for your mental health; letting other things (nothing/taking breaks counts as "other things") take priority

the longer i wait for a new production release, the higher the expectations, huh? anyway, just released one, but don't expect it to be perfect! it never was, never will be. but it has some really, really cool features, compared to the previous version! i don't know when the play store or izzy's repo will publish the new version, but it's only a matter of time. who knows, maybe there will be a few hot fix releases the coming days?

hi! so: new pre-release is out. it includes some exciting features first implemented by @npub1up8…g73z!
there's this feature that lets the android system know about the url of the currently displayed page – but as far as i can tell, *only google pixel phones* have this feature. (right?) in any case, if your phone supports this, it'd be amazing if you could test it and see if i messed up or missed any urls, or if you experience crashes.

currently implementing an option to have the reblog menu also pop up when doing a single click (and not only when long-clicking) so people can avoid accidentally reblogging something.
now i'm wondering: should this be the default behavior? 🤔 (at the moment, it's like this: single click to reblog, long-click to bring up this menu)
