I also don't like that some neglect to vote. It is possible and advisable to vote AND organize to improve the structure of the process.
It is like a game. If one knows it's unfair, it's not fun. If you decide not to play, you can't expect others to stop or care that you're excluded. But if you show HOW the game is unfair, everyone will want to play a fair game instead.
Justice is in that sense of interdependence that everyone can trust includes and requires each of us.

Not to state the obvious but Independents still can't hardly get through primaries, because they're still closed in most states.
I think you'd agree, it is probably necessary to first rally together, even as members of the two false-dichotomy parties, to make the democratic process actually democratic in the US, by requiring citizens' assemblies, ranked choice voting, and open primaries nationally, if electoral politics are to mean any genuine efficacy for the people.
