Thinking back on it, I wonder what the intended population-level benefit was of the two years I spent doing chemistry in high school. The biology and physics classes I can see the general education benefits of, but other than a couple of tidbits like understanding pH, I’m honestly not certain what all that time in chemistry class was for.

Spent some time playing with the LMSYS LLM "arena". You all will be thrilled to learn that *no* LLM seems to be able to "describe the button layout of an Anglo concertina" with any degree of accuracy.

@npub1u3f…nne2 Any idea why the `vmulosb/vmulesb` instructions in Altivec operate on odd/even lanes, rather than low/high lanes like `smull/smull2` in AArch64? Is there a reason you would normally want the "free" deinterleaving when doing a widen-and-multiply?
