My Dad has 2 Roku's in different rooms and he's really not tech savvy. They work great for him and we haven't had to replace either of them in 5-6 years.
He's quite a heavy TV user so the build quality is good. I would recommend them.

Just did a quick search for Tado gear and it looks like Screwfix is well stocked with it here in the UK. That makes it very tempting
