It had my full attention on a large screen when I watched it.
Like I say, an excellent movie that did not move me. There's nothing to say I wont give it another go at some point.
Might be one worth a watch while tripping.

I saw The Ninth Configuration quite recently.
I certainly appreciate it is an excellent film with deep ideas, excellently directed performances, and a brilliant script but the thing failed to engage me.
I've actually got it playing now and admiring the cinematography.

The Facebook is a dumpster fire. I've been banned so many times I lost count. The adverts, the hassle, the endless algorithm bullshit, and, as you point out, the bullshit fact checks.
I'd delete it but then I'd lose lines of contact with real life friends & family who are a continent away.

It’s funny you should mention ol’ Ron because I was at the Tate looking at Tracy Ermin’s latest installation: My Bed – Out of Storage. Tied to the bed in question was somebody who looked very much like Ron DeSantis, and in fact was him.
Every time he would open his mouth to say something transphobic, or say anything really, a mechanical arm would grab some random item from the installation and rub it in his face and then stuff it in his mouth.
You would think Ron DeSantis might not like used tampons, or full ashtrays rubbed in his face and all in his mouth, but he really seemed to be enjoying it.
But then he would, wouldn’t he because #RonDeSantisisacunt

In fairness a couple of those inquiries have been perfectly legitimate - patients worried I might have something they don't want to be around.
Those kind of worries would be moot if my colleagues, you know, maybe wore fucking masks during a deadly pandemic that hasn't gone anywhere despite the media shutting up about it.
When the doctors aren't masked up I just fucking despair.

I find I've been questioned more and more on my mask use lately.
At the moment I'm happy to explain, calmly, that covid is a thing and that I don't want to be responsible for inadvertently spreading it - that this mask benefits YOU not ME.
The only problem with doing that is the explanation takes time and at some point I'll just create a shortcut, you know - "I got private health issues that I don't want to discuss."
