I don't think MIT is freeloading from an ILL perspective-- The @npub1umd…wfr7 does ILL exchanges with 400+ libraries including MIT. And while MIT has gotten lots from us over the years, it is not in the top 25 libraries requesting.
So I suspect they use ILL and document delivery services (big $/paper) it is just they don't requests that many papers.
But that is not good news, really, we need researchers learning from each other.
We need OPEN!

Democracy's Library kicked off with Canada and the US. Canadian govdocs are under "Crown Copyright" which makes things less clear.

hum. Elections reflecting voters in UK?
UK Labor party gained 32% more seats (214 of 650) but only gained 1.3% more votes ( 2024 vs 2019). Last time the conservatives swept, but only had a minority.
UK far right got 14% of votes and 0.6% of seats
Yow.
And we have large inequities in the US systems as well.

One thing we have done is have 10 minute concerts to start our staff meetings. (I think this is why our staff attends :) ).
