I have committed to moving on to the Sierras.
We were going to hang tight and do a lot of day hikes to keep our legs strong, but have ultimately decided to press on.
The snow seems to be melting, but we are still at the front of the pack.
We will move a bit slower the next 150 miles.
I was able to buy new shoes and an Ice Axe.

We are about to arrive into a town called Tehachapi, then Lake Isabella, followed by Kennedy Meadows - The Gateway to the Sierras.
Last night was brutal due to the wind.

We met up with another hiking group here in Big Bear. They challenged our group to a bowling contest; the losing team had to jump in the lake.

Day 19:
Some days can be tough, but a good meal or a beautiful sunset makes it worth it.
Today we hiked into a small town near Big Bear Lake. I have been on the trail for the last 4 days. Tonight I have booked a room alone.
8 others got an Air BNB, but I wanted to be alone for the night. I will do laundry, eat a good meal, and rest. I will meet with the others on the way back to the trail tomorrow morning.
