Absolutely: being "mostly veggie" is a thing. Don't think of it as failing to be perfectly veggie, but rather that you have decided to shrink your meat consumption.

Personally, I would not be happier if killed by a close relative than if I were killed by a stranger. Maybe the stranger/acquaintance distinction matters to you, but we're all different.

It's a huge problem: a huge fraction of your parents get scammed. It's an industry of slimeballs who take advantage of the vulnerable elderly. *If* it works, it will be a very good thing.

No, I'm in the AI business, and it grew up, unexpectedly, out of honest research. People were doing the normal research things, and it started to become clear that certain generational machine learning models could follow instructions.
That realization didn't happen all at once, but it was shocking and felt like magic. That was about 2020.
