I actually laughed at the ridiculousness of that line. If it stays in the final edit, I expect there will be a story explanation for it - either why the character says it or resulting consequences. With Louis Hamilton as an Executive Producer, I can't imagine he would approve of portraying the sport as 'unsafe' as a matter of strategy.
