I understand wallets (hot or cold) are needed to generate seed phrases and keys to move bitcoin. But are wallets necessary for static HODLing?
Is it possible to use a wallet to generate a seed phrase, transfer Bitcoin to that account, then after securing phrase, wipe the wallet and create a new seed phrase and allocate Bitcoin to it?
What are the advantages or disadvantages of diffusing reasonable amounts (larger that typical for daily use wallets) of Bitcoin over multiple, in a sense “accounts?”
Wouldn’t this improve security over “all in one account,” and provide granular transfer to “daily use” wallets or gifting?

Though I’m new to it, I really like your work and insight and will catch up with your past work, then continue following.
This can all be resolved very simply by not treating Saylor like a god, no longer should anyone give him a platform to speak about bitcoin and ask him to do his thing and shut the fuck up. He’s had a god complex that is rolling like a snowball. The avalanche crew often opens the day with planned disruption for skiers safety.
My fear is that he is now killing the spirit of the people who built his soapbox.
This is a lot to ask. I’m a noob and a nobody in the Bitcoin sphere, but I have been successful in business and have pretty good radar. I felt and saw this coming and began commenting with VERY limited exposure, yet seem to be tracking some of your comments Elton John/Bernie Taupin like (damn I’m old !) I believe what Jack did is one of the, or possibly THE most significant act by anyone, to my knowledge in recent Bitcoin history. More significant than Saylor’s massive stockpiling and more important than Blackrock’s entry. What Jack did is MANY things:
-first, it’s a major personal donation,
-it’s major support for those who work or will be working (for your benefit!),
-it’s a significant investment in the future for countless beneficiaries,
-more importantly, it’s a huge vote of confidence, or rather two votes,
-a vote of confidence in the Bitcoin sphere, AND,

Why I’ve become a radical for BITCOIN.
I’m an American MANUFACTURER.
I’m not an importer/reseller. I do not provide a service. I don’t assemble, package and sell. Nothing I do will EVER be available on Amazon.
None of the above are necessary without what I and others like me do.
I buy elements that have been mined from the earth e.g. chromium, graphite, nickel, cobalt, molybdenum, silica, iron, a dozen or so others and turn it into numerous steels: mild steels, alloy steels, tool steels, nickel and cobalt alloys, from which I make castings. My castings are used in numerous machines and equipment that enable secondary, tertiary, etc, manufacturers to produce what they do. Without what my industry produces NO modern plane or rocket could leave the earth, no nuclear reactor could be built hence, we would have no defense systems. I AM A PRIMARY MANUFACTURER.
I’ve worked in my industry for 50 yrs this month. I started a business in this industry just over 32yrs ago. TODAY it is no longer possible to do what I did and it’s not because I’m special. What I did back then is now so regulated, the financial barriers so great, the available labor is so hobbled and the number of no-value-added costs so high that it is nearly impossible to start small and grow. Today, new foundries are the offspring of existing foundries operating at scale that are bankable and believe it or not, this isn’t workable over the long-term.
This month I am nearly finished CLOSING my business. Please understand I am not going-out-of-business due to necessity—I had healthy sales and profitability in 2023 and the first quarter of this year.
I have decided to no longer do what I have done, I quit. Very simply a hard, healthy, abrupt stop.
Why and what does this have to do with BITCOIN? At this point I personally have NO other means to disrupt a very broken system and BITCOIN along with the great minds behind Bitcoin alone will facilitate the commerce that will enable a rebuilding—possibly before complete destruction.

Expired: I’ll offer my take without much thought because it’s others thought I was willing to ZAP for. As offensive as the term “useless eater” can appear at first, I believe it’s valid in a situation where over a long term an individual consumes more than they produce—often MUCH more. The exceptions, to name a few: children desired and brought into this world that need to be cared for, individuals who by no fault of their own are unable to care for themselves (war, accidents, birth defects and the elderly). For the majority of the remaining burdensome humans, it would take time to inventory their life situation, the degree they exercised their free will and the causal effects of their of their decisions along the way.
More complex than this I know, but all I have time for. Wasn’t trying or planning to win this challenge, genuinely looking for input from others.
