As someone who grew up in the American South, the Confederate, Dixie, or Rebel flag represents many different ideas to people. The most common is rebelling against the government. Racism isn't subtle in the South, you don't need to hang the Southern Cross to express your racism as you can do it quite openly and vocally without much recourse; however, Northerners will always see the Confederate flag and think: "racist flag".
Racism is quite common in the south, which is why I left, but I still dislike federal and state government overreach. I think libertarian "Don't tread on me" symbolism has replaced the Dixie flag in most of the country for expressing scepticism of central control. The government will always try to paint any rebellious symbolism as subversive; see the sceptical looks of your liberal neighbors for flying an American flag.
It does not surprise me that someone would find the ideas of rebelling against the government AND sexuality norms as good bedfellows.

Primal handles nip-05 and lud16 for their primal.net domain. They have their own backend but I think you have to answer some questions to set it up. In settings->wallet is this toggle enabled?

Centralized nip stampers like yours, nostrplebs.com, as noble as your intentions are, are not likely to win out here. I think you get that as you went for your own domain. Clients will have to fracture and only respect certain nip verifiers because the clone bots are coming. Expect a 1000 verified Snowden’s (he was wise to go after a vanity npub, but keys will need to be cycled for security eventually). Maybe your stamper will be a winner. Maybe you’ll have to charge 1M sats to hold off the clones. Right now, Nostr is nearly all signal, but the **noise is coming** and how the noise is dealt with *will define the protocol*.

It would be nice to do so, but I got kids and bills. I get paid in *fiat*. I convert to bitcoin on payday. If bitcoin *outperforms* inflation, then my buying power increases and my btc saving power goes up. Not caring about fiat is a lovely 🌻and provoking 🤔 sentiment but not a great option for plebs who got mouths to feed. We’ll get there someday. Hopefully soon I can pay my mortgage with ⚡️.

It is a lovely sentiment, but I believe the bitcoin economy will come from spending it *not* holding it. So, the future lies somewhere in between. For example on Thursday, I received my wages in bitcoin via direct deposit conversion at Strike. Then, today I purchased a Safeway grocery gift card on BitRefill which I promptly converted to food for my family. I experienced an increase in buying power of my bitcoin of 1.7% (1% in Satoshi rewards from BitRefill and 0.7% increase in bitcoin/USD value). #bitcoin #⚡️ #justuseit
