Our government tried that; ordering everyone back to work a following week.
Several problems:<li>day care arrangements had not been made</li><li>parents were still driving kids to school bc not enough bus drivers </li><li>the city transit system wasn't prepared for it</li><li>office building food services hadn't a chance to ramp up</li><li>building facilities staff hadn't ordered enough toilet paper</li>

For the next one, I suggest turning the boiler off, closing the valve supplying makeup water, and waiting for the system to cool a bit.
Then use a bunched up bath towel to unscrew the old valve.

We have a commercially made one that just runs full time. As much as anything we are running it to trap pet hair and all the dust the dog brings in.

There's often a small gap between the window frames and the house itself, which can be more easily drilled through for coax cable. Later repairs can be done with caulking.
