One of the benefits of retirement, for me, is the freedom from a strict schedule. I can spend hours working on whatever task I choose. Others may think I’m often wasting time, but to me it’s enjoying time.

Good morning! Today is a repeat of yesterday’s pleasantly cool, sunny weather. It’s so nice to have a break from mugginess.
As the humidity decreases my energy increases proportionally. Thank goodness, since I’ve let some things slide over the summer. I’m going to start going through files, organizing paperwork. That’ll give me a an easy sense of accomplishment + still leave me time to enjoy the day outdoors.
That’s my plan for a balanced day. We’ll see if I succeed. 🤞

Happy Thursday! It's only mid-August, but I'm noticing the earliest signs that autumn is coming. The vegetable garden and flowers have passed their peak and are looking a little tired. Some of our summer birds have already moved on. The sun is setting noticeably earlier.
I'm a fan of fall weather, so I welcome the upcoming change. At the same time, I don't want time to pass too quickly. I guess what I really want is a lack of heat and humidity from here on out. Here's hoping.
