Last year I divested from #spotify to consume music more intentionally and pay directly to artists or via #bandcamp and now I'm taking it a ridiculous step further in my nostalgia for physical media. I merged all the tracks of each album as a single file. No more track skipping. Just play.

The most exciting part of the #maclinuxbuild aside from from the #linux #os install has to be #gpu day! Opted for an #amd rx 6800 xt. These got a lot of flack at release because price to performance was not there. They were also released during a time of high gpu prices but they’ve come down quite a bit. It’s also the best option that my research turned up which does not require the #pixlas #mod. Good enough for #gaming, light #editing and a #Plex #server. #foss #floss #opensource #slowtech

Okay the SSD has arrived for the #maclinuxbuild I’m using a 480GB SSD as the startup disk which will be housed where the optical drive used to be. I’ll eventually have additional storage in the other vacant optical drive bay as well as the four lower bays.
