And in addition to that, if focusing on the project is truly the goal, the same rules would surely apply to people arguing about Rise of Skywalker or Emacs vs vim. Yet no one ever puts down "no movies" or "no text editors" notes. It is always just "no politics".

Clothing is either gender stereotyped and boring or political. City infrastructure is either car-focused or political. Energy is either fossil fuels or political. Education is either white christian propaganda or political.
Everything follows the same pattern, tech included.
