🤣 Was just sitting here thinking, meds are kicked in. Barring consuming another dose, this is as good as it's gonna get... which is OK, I guess.
It's still there, but it's a dull, distant, "bearable" pain, that I'm pretty much "used to."

Noob question re: unix variants (linux, et al)
System is an old HP Windows laptop. It works, but bloat makes it so I have time to smoke a cigarette just opening up an app, and it sounds like a jet.
What I want: a windows-like (gui) OS, in English, that'll run my existing Windows apps without making my laptop sound like it's preparing for take off. Must work with Google Docs. (🙄 I know, but if I have to totally change up how I run my under-the-table side gig, it ain't gonna happen.)
