I think it is possible to choose not having a kid amd still have a good life. And it is possible to choose having a kid or numerous kids to have a good life too.
There is a place in this world for every couple or singles, as long as you are making your choices with your eyes wide open, and have given your choices due thought.
I was once in the "I don't really want a kid camp". Took me 10 years of debating with myself, and listening to others to finally decide to have a child. It is definitely an experience like no other for me.
The lows of being a parent (including a period of grappling with post partum depression, and going through treatment), they are not something we should just gloss over. There are real challenges to being a parent, financially, physically and mentally. But the joys are also part of the whole experience.
Fully understand both sides, listen with an open mind, then decide.
I wish you happiness and content in whatever path you choose.

Yup. I always believe the truth lives inside all of us. And the door to truth is always there and open. But when we peek through the door, we get unsettled and uncomfortableby what we see and find out.
Grappling with the truth can be terrifying. So many turn back and choose to stay where it is comfortable.

I was also just told that X may be plugging stablecoin into its platform. What does this mean though? If the institutions of the fiat world now are rushing in to hoard and transact in bitcoin, does this change anything?

Just finished watching the Nostr for Beginners w/Derek Ross video. I like the part where he said keep it weird, and that we own our algorithm.
Hopefully, the Nostr world has lots of dog videos and ski videos. I loved how the algorithms of Facebook and Instagram fed me endless reels of silly dog and ski videos. Always make me laugh out loud! 😆
Will have to find Nostriches who post such videos and follow them.

I find ruins mysterious and fascinating... I always wondered about the people who built and lived amongst the ruins in their time... What are the thoughts they had at that time? And I always wondered if I could have survived in their time.... haha

I am in Canada. I tried the VPN route, and while I was able to get to the "input the access code sent via email" screen, the email that came said my wallet could not be activated.
I will set up a proper crypto wallet today, and then go from there.

I like what you said. Truth isn't loud.
Truth also does not need us to defend it. We can spread it and talk to people about it, but we really do not need to defend it. It is already the truth.
Truth is one of the most difficult thing for people to accept and come to terms with.
I always believed that we all know the truth inside of us. The door to truth is always there inside of us, and always open. But when you poke your head through the door of truth to check it out, often times, what you find can be very unsettling and uncomfortable because it makes you question many things and even everything you spent your whole life believing in. Many will see the truth, and then turn back to what they are more comfortable with.
It can be exhausting to grapple with truth.

Thanks for the walk through. I realized I should set up a crypto wallet and then link to Alby, and/or Primal. I am not based in US, so could not activate Primal wallet. Definitely trialing and erroring, while watching videos to figure out. 😆

How do I set myself up to give zaps, and receive zaps?
I also tried to connect to an Alby account, but every time I try to set up my account to link it to a card, I am brought to the Stripe website, and then nothing.

The idea of having a central entity (Coinbase) holding your Bitcoin (and so many of them)... this does feel like it is going against the original premise of bitcoin being decentralized. Still trying to wrap my head around this.

I am in the same boat as you. I read Jeff's book about 11 months ago, and today, I am still trying to wrap my head around the concepts and reality he talked about in his book. And that was when I went down the Bitcoin rabbit hole.
Fast forward to today, I now have to wrap my mind at the intersection of AI and bitcoin. My poor head is hurting. 😅
