Yeah, I'm not even sure if Mr. Blazie realizes what he's done for us. Normally Linux is hard to get working if you don't know how to use it to begin with as well as if you also need a Screen Reader and working sound, particularly the working sound part. With a BT Speak Pro, I could potentially learn Linux and set it up myself on, say, my desktop later even if I had to fiddle with sound. It's kind of disappointing that a $400 difference is software-based, no hardware differences between the two models, but apparently a lot had to be done to get the Desktop version of Linux to work on it. Given the first part of this, looks like that would be a correct statement, so guess I'll just save up a bit.

Oh yeah! Another crown approved! Gooooo Medicare! This will be my sixth! Have one more after this one. Ooooof! Take care of your teeth, those of you in your early 20's! I didn't and now even though I'm not having to pay for it, I'm sure having to endure lots of pain and discomfort in my mid 30's!

She's trying to explain to you how a business *has* to operate to keep functioning at the end of the day and you shoot that all the way up to...She doesn't care about human decency? Just...Wow. While I was more idealistic at your age, I'm glad I could at least understand that there is a seperation between business and personal relationships for good reasons. This is what she's trying to show you. You're saying a business should act the same way as most of us would expect a personal friend to and that's just never how that's going to work. She wasn't personally attacking you at all, but she could absolutely take you saying that she doesn't care about human decency as an attack. She's already figured out what you're doing, though, so I'm sure she's not but the point is, really think about how you handle yourself in future. We're all just trying to school you in our own ways.

The problem is that they really shot themselves in the foot by saying that those of us who paid wouldn't ever have to pay again. If I used it more, I would totally pay the $5.95 a month, but since I don't use it often, I just don't have to worry about it until I want it. Yes, API access for developers usually isn't free, which is why you have to pay for an Apple Developer account, for instance.
