considering how often I hear ppl making fun of how white people don't use and can't handle spice, I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of white people also see spice as a non-white thing and fetishize spicy food the same way they fetishize other aspects of literally every BBI culture. Like "oops, silly me, I'm doing the thing Those People do, white people gone wild 😈"

or like me they're autistic and can't handle mouth pain 😔 I did also kinda grow up in the Midwest but most of my family is fine with spicy food and has mocked me about it my whole life so I'm assuming it's more the autism lol

Edit: the one in the post was apparently in Texas. I might have looked up a different post, or there are multiple lol
But there are a lot of Spanish names in Texas and California because these areas used to be part of Mexico

agreed! If anything, a modification that would make it better for Americans would be adding a state or province where available instead of just city and country. I can figure out the numbers, mostly because the posts give good references, but I don't know all nearby cities and if the state is given I can instantly know if this is close enough to potentially affect me.
That being said, this is also something we can look up! In fact that's what I did with the one post I saw for the US

I don't consider "racist" name-calling, although people do make that accusation a lot when called racist 😅 personally, unless the action or their past history is racist enough that it's obvious malice, I tend to call the *action* racist instead of the *person*, not because they don't deserve it but because if they get defensive they're less likely to want to change. But I also support bluntly calling people racist when they say or do something racist

what I've been trying to do when it comes to liberals and leftists who don't really agree with me on most things but could be on my side in the right conditions, is criticize them compassionately. I don't harass them or call them names or try to cause infighting, but I don't bite my tongue. Often this leads to an ally growing as a person. Sometimes I discover a reactionary I shouldn't waste my time on. But it seems like a good compromise for me for now.
