@npub1dm5…5sqe Oh for sure. To be more clear of what I was describing I've had a goal of getting @npub10s3…dwv9 3.0 out since 2016. It's still not out.
A bit more ago I tried to narrow the scope to help but the scope was still WAY too big. https://dev.to/grim/a-narrowing-of-focus-2d3i
Now I'm aiming towards an MVP of having it to a state where people other than me can use it for #IRC on #Linux by the end of the year. That's a much more specific and attainable goal but it's still a coin flip on if I'm going to make it or not.

@npub1dm5…5sqe I dunno if you're looking for ideas but here's a few anyways. An interrobang could go nicely with the &. Also an escape key (keyboard key or literal key) could be fun too. Similarly ^[ for what "escape" is displayed as could be fun too, but might be too geeky.

@npub1dm5…5sqe VirtualBox lets you run virtual machines. You should be able to run a macOS vm on a mac. Aiui, that's the only "supported" way to do it.

@npub1dm5…5sqe containers are pretty much only for Linux applications. I am not aware of any container technology for macos. Docker for Mac runs a Linux VM to run Linux containers, not Mac containers.
