When we need a digidouble we 90% of he time have a specific need for specific shots, and plenty of times it's for the safety and comfort of the cast.
Say an 80 year old lead can sit in a tube on a cold slab of stainless steel for half a day on set, or we can put his younger body double in there and use a scan of his face so he can be in his trailer running lines.
