yeah no fr.. the console modding scene is so all over the place & needlessly vague.
it reminds me of Linux users.
you've got 200 different websites with weird & vague info, 20-30 people "in the know" you're supposed to listen to like they're the only people who exist. & everything is out of date.
people will act all friendly & helpful when asked for assistance, but can't be fucked to just write a simple guide to point to for something only they seem to understand. & don't actually bother to explain things in words you'll understand. usually just weird acronyms & shorthands.
documentation is only helpful for the people who already know what they're doing & need/want a refresher.
not the people who actually need the documentation. & so much as questioning it would get you bad looks.
diagrams look like they were taken in 2004 on a nokia phone. so are next to useless points of reference.
& fucking hell the amount of conflicting information is insane.
can't people just universally agree to start some "console modding" wiki/forum, & stick to it. they clearly all know eachother already. I'm not joining 7 new discord servers!!!
