This keyboard (robust, reliable, foldable) makes 75% of what I use my iPad for pointless. I'm as inclined to grab it with my ridiculously powerful phone as I am the heavier, as-limited-by-the-OS iPad. Apple really has a product problem with the iPad and I hope they do come out with a hybrid macbook.

(i wonder if there is a way for me to override Apple's transcription with my own in the case of episodes of my own produced podcasts... It seems that there isn't which is a weird decision to not trust the human reviewed and modified transcriptions I provide in those cases.) 2/2

Would it be supererogatory for Apple's transcription to not misspell the core topic of a podcast? Would it not be, in fact, obligatory?
Not surprised, yet disappointed, that the LLM Apple is using doesn't have a solid enough corpus of moral philosophy text to apply here, given the AI industry's allergy to moral self reflection. 1/2

Spent this morning helping a friend suffering wireless audio issues source a best option wired headset.
Fascinating how for non-audio people "wireless == modern" & "wires == you must be hopelessly backward" while for anyone that works with audio it's "give me wires, the chunkier the better".

One of the first 5 Choose Your Own Adventure books from the 80's, The Mystery of Chimney Rock really spooked me as a kid in the absolute best way.

#[0] I haven't used it and don't mean to come off as promoting it. Unfortunately I think the single node will actually come off as a better experience for maintstream users initially if they have one less decision to make.
My concern is that the moment of truth is here. It's like global warming: by the time we feel the impact from whatever piece of VC funded corporate social media trying to gain control, it will be too late.
