The tech trend these last few years are to find tech nobody wants, burn a ton of cash, hype it up, profit from stock, fire a bunch of people, rinse and repeat.

Rushing things rarely goes well. This is a problem in software as well, let alone hardware. IMO yearly cycles leads to more bugs, tech debt, and overall focusing on the wrong things. We don't need new versions every year, we need reliable tech.

For All Mankind took an unexpected but very interesting turn in Season 4. It kinda reminds me it could be part of The Expanse world-building if there was ever a prequel. It's a great show if you haven't given it a try please do. I feel like not a lot of people are watching it?

This reminded me that supposedly in The Matrix original script, the humans were used for brain processing capabilities at large scale, due to “lower costs”. This was changed to “used as energy for machines” because execs found the cpu thing would be complicated to audiences.
