I am begging software projects to release programs as tarballs or plain old static binaries. I don't know what a Helm chart is. I am not installing an entire Kubernetes cluster. Docker breaks LXC and firewalls and is constantly breaking for mysterious reasons. I would rather submit myself to hours of `./configure && make && make install` frustration than try to hack through the endless hellscape of containerized deployment systems.

TBH we should just offer direct grants/subsidies for this sort of thing. It's so difficult, even if you try to do all your homework right, to qualify for tax credits. Even the manufacturer didn't know they didn't qualify until recently.

We started getting weird signup requests on woof.group for LA law firms this week. They're obviously spam, and they're coming from ABTS Karnataka IP space, so presumably it's actually an Indian company--but I can't figure out the angle. Shady marketing contractor? Independent actor using the firms' identities as cover for unrelated spam? The HTML tags in the request suggests it's at least partly automated.
Called one of the firms yesterday, and they had no idea what was happening. #admin

It's 10 degrees outside and the heat pump is pulling in enough energy to raise 65 degree indoor air to 90 degrees at the registers. I wish I'd gotten a system with a broader operating range and better efficiency around 0 degrees, but the fact that this thing works at *all* feels like sorcery.
