Finished sewing my leotard 🌸 The fit is better now that I have sewn size V and not size W but this fabric is less stretchy than my first attempt so next time I will sew in fabric with better 4-way stretch. The scoop neck elastic is still a little long so next time, I’ll shorten it by 2 cm but it’s a learning curve and I can wear this one.

Finished sewing the elastics to the leotard 🧵🪡 It came out quite well but I may have over-estimated my size so it is a bit big. Oddly enough, I thought it would be too small while I was sewing. It’s OK but will make it a size smaller next time 😄

Just cut fabric for a leotard. This is the first time, I’m trying to sew a leotard but I want to learn the skill 🧵🪡 I have a coverstitch machine and an overlocker so the actual sewing should be quite fast but it will require practice to get it right, I think. Already I’m thinking I should have chosen a size bigger 😄

Watching episode 27 of “The Princess Royal” 🌸 The second couple has a sweet chemistry and balance out the main couple well. Chen Guo and Yi Daqian do a great job in their roles.

@npub1zt3…0v09 Thanks 😺 I treated myself to a coverstitch machine some years ago and it is a learning curve 😄 The neckband is sewn on with a tape binder which creates this nice smooth effect.

Just cut fabric for a T-shirt ✂️🧵🪡 There was a slight hiccup when the back was longer than the front. Don’t know how that happened but it was easy to fix. Tomorrow, it will be interesting to see whether I remember how to use the coverstich machine 😄

Just finished watching the second season of “Lost You Forever” 🌸 The ending was a little melancholy but not sad as such. It was a very elegant way in which to tie all the loose ends together. It was poignant when Xiaoyao and Tushan Jing left to travel the world, she was wearing Cang Xuan’s rose in her hair and holding Xiang Liu’s doll with the aquatic globe inside.

Just finished the fifth and last volume of "Thousand Autumns" 🌸 The series focuses on martial art adventures but the main couple is definitely interesting to follow. It isn't a straight romance but there is sugar.

Just inked up my new Pelikan Classic 200 fountain pen with Glacier / Star Bright ink from Diamine 🌸 Besides being pretty, the pen was specifically bought to handle lots of shimmer; Glacier ink is definitely shimmer-heavy and the pen copes well.

Just watching episode 2 of “Lost You Forever”, season 2 🌸 So far it has a very melancholy atmosphere. Many of the characters are locked into positions from which they cannot escape. They aren’t happy, but they feel that their responsibilities force them to stay where they are.

Just inked my TWSBI fountain pen with Ostrich Flower God gold powder ink 🌸 It is very shimmery but also a little temperamental. It either writes with a wet line or it railroads. Just finished reading the first volume of "Ballad of Sword and Wine" by Qiang Jin Jiu 🌸 As the first book in the series, it establishes the setting and begins to craft the relationship between the main couple. Their situation is complicated and even though they end up in bed, romance is still quite a long way off.

Just finished watching episode 31 of “The Double” 🌸 He is heading to the border and they almost confess to each other but don’t quite. His advice that she should never change for anyone not even him shows that he truly understands her and respects her for it. She isn’t a damsel in distress; he’s not a hero who rushes to save. He allows her to save herself.

Have made it to episode 17 of “The Double” 🌸 and this scene in the rain is the first time that the romance is clear to both of them. She is drunk and he is wary so nothing happens on the surface but they have taken a step towards each other emotionally.

Have made it to episode 11 of “The Double” 🌸 This is a turning point in their relationship because Duke Su allows Jiang Li to bite his hand rather than her lip while she is being treated for her hand hence suffering from hallucinations. He has taken a step further in his interest in her, not just helping her seek medical help but physically shielding her from self-harm.
