So, I've been using #nixos for a couple of weeks now, and I like it honestly. Now I do have one thought that when I only use NixOS that I will forget how to configure a normal #linux system. Say I create systemd services in configuration.nix. Will I forget how to create one in a non-nix environment? That scares me a bit.

Would be amazing if @npub1sl7…xy6s would not ban my IP for 5 minutes everytime I want to open the website on Linux with Firefox. It's apparently an issue for at least a year according to some online searching and you'd think a service focused on such a use-case (owned by privacy focused @npub1wjw…ue5t) would not have such issues when using privacy focused tools. Maybe it's my DNS (nextdns) or whatever, but it's annoying af and quite literally the only website with such issues.

Personally I find it interesting that they went with mastodon instead of misskey, but that's the beauty of the fediverse. It doesn't matter whether it's misskey, mastodon, firefish or all the other great options... y'all get disaster information
