Ok I see your point. Not fighting with you either Juan, just expressing a frustration, at least in my neck of the woods.
Maybe it really just is a localised issue and other markets don't have this 🤷

Oh definitely the problem is lack of GOOD competition.
That's why I was using Apple as an example because they are the only alternative. If Samsung would step up to the plate THEY could conquer the market instead but sadly they are complacent.
I don't see Apple doing that but it would be great competition in that segment.
That would put Android OEM's to the test to see what they are made of.....
Competition is good for the consumer.

And I think it's fair to say that there are MANY countries in the world in the same position.
A few spring to mind: Portugal, Spain, Italy, Croatia, the entire Eastern Europe, the entire South America, China, India, most of Asia etc.
That's MASSIVE amount of users ripe to enter the Apple ecosystem. And there's literally no competition....

The A35 and A55 are VERY average in every way and beyond most people's means, at least in this country where the average wage is €1000 per month.
To spend half your wage on a phone is suicide.
That's why I say €400 would be the sweet spot for Apple (I use them because they are the only competition) and people WOULD be willing to put out for that because 5 years OS updates, best cameras in that segment, iOS with iMessage, Memoji, tons of accessories, magsafe etc

So in that context I think a €400 incl VAT iPhone SE would be very welcome in the market and would decimate the segment.
If Apple are serious about increasing market share this is where they need to compete. This is the market they are currently missing out on....
And if they do, and if they succeed, the Android OEM's only have themselves to blame.
I'd love to see it happen in order to get them to improve

Yes definitely. Double standards.
It must be something about the Apple brand that people turn a blind eye when it's Apple doing it Vs Google or anyone else really.
Apple really mastered Branding early on and it set them up very well in people's minds

I think that they will still give minimum 5 years OS upgrades but they've always reserved certain features for certain models.
So you'll still get iOS 18, 19 etc but you just won't get Ai if you're on anything older than a 15 Pro

I've not experienced either, only slow wired charging and super slow wireless charging.
I'd like a phone with both fast charging options for different situations.
For example it would be much easier at night just to have a wireless charger than fumble about looking for my cable. Whereas if I need to go somewhere in half an hour and want a fun battery, a super fast wired connection would be the better solution.
