Go small. Go simple. Go now. If you wait until you’re ready, you’ll never go. There is no such thing as a perfect boat. Buy the smallest boat you can comfort live on. LOA means how much the marina will charge. You dont need all the fancy electronics. You need a compass, paper charts, and a working VHF. Navionics on an iPad will work great in place of a chart plotter. Get a boat that’s good enough that’s ready to sail and, upstage it with what you want as you go along. In a hospital setting, the opiates are monitored and regulated. On the streets, the sky is the limit. The people who are willing to throw their lives away, just to get high, are not worth my time or effort.
Just because someone made you feel bad isn’t a good reason to just give up and blast your brains out with drugs. It’s a problem but, it’s a self limiting problem.

When a boat is on anchor or a mooing, the bow will naturally orient itself towards the wind. And, since the hatch opens forward, it scoops the air and creates a nice breeze through the cabin making fans unnecessary. But I lashed the dink to the bow and covered said forward hatch. It instantly got stagnant and hot in the cabin. Thank god for fans!
