The Last Rose of Summer is a true story about corruption in #cancer research. I discovered a cheap, plant-derived drug that could replace some much more toxic (but more lucrative) therapies. #BigPharma got involved and suppressed the research. Eventually I had to publish the story in thinly veiled fiction and survive a bunch of murder attempts.

Very true. When the guy does go you know they're gonna do a weekend at Bernie's while a huge power struggle goes on. I'd set expectations according to the two things I know to be absolutely true:
1. Literally nobody on earth wants this war except Putin, and
2. All these guys are total fucking idiots.

What some people are doing is not only canceling their NYT subscription but giving that money to ProPublica or other non-corporate outlets that are actually reporting news. Feisty local papers-- what few are left-- are also a great place to spend money, for anyone who can.
All those canceled subscriptions are the only message the Times might-- *might* listen to. And I say "might" because look at the WaPo-- Bezos doesn't care that it loses money.

The best policy on anything is the opposite of whatever the NYT is pitching. They openly admit they feel no obligation to defend democracy, and they're probably really in the tank for the fascists. They couldn't do more to promote the fascists if it *were* their objective, in any case.
So even if I weren't already ridin' with Biden, I would do so purely as a fuck you to the New York Times.

I am all in favor of not being ableist towards people who deal with incontinence, which is very common. We should also be aware of the injustice in our medical system, that procedures which fix some kinds of incontinence are considered "elective," i.e. not covered by insurance, so that many people suffer from a treatable problem just to increase insurance company profits.
I'm all for advocating for medical justice.
That said: That. Is. Not. what these people are doing. 🤦‍♀️
