there's this myth of female bathroom camaraderie that really bugs me. No, I don't instantly relate to random drunk girls in the bathroom. No, they don't try to help me out, but neither do I want them to (unless I ask, and I never have). Whether I'm dealing with blood or just having a shit, I want to be left alone.

Yeah, this has been my issue. I think our dump will recycle electrical goods, but not into still being computers. The local IT recycle guy would only take one of my old laptops. And they really need laptops. Just not old ones.

Laptop dude was like 'Why do you have so many laptops in the first place?' And for me the reason is that I was poor and got them second hand so they didn't last long.
But I think most people I know have a lot of laptops in this culture of built-in obsolescence, so I'm curious:

while they *can* last that long, they usually don't. The seed packets aren't lying. I know because I have tried to use out of date seeds I stored well.
