За основу была взята модель “владения” из языка Rust, но она переработана под концепцию сильных и слабых указателей (аналоги shared_ptr и weak_ptr из С++), где каждое значение в памяти может иметь только одну переменную-владельца с сильным указателем.
И когда такая переменная-владелец уходит из области видимости, счетчик ссылок уменьшается и при достжении нуля память освобождается.
Фактически, это автоматическое управление памятью с помощью подсчёта ссылок на этапе компиляции и без использования сборщика мусора.
Существование ссылок на объекты предполагает и возможность одновременного доступа к данным из нескольких потоков выполнения. Из-за чего управление памятью включает в себя и элементы межпотокового взаимодействия, так как совместное владение ссылками по любому будет требовать каких либо механизмов синхронизации доступа к разеделяемой памяти объектов.
Поэтому, при определении объекта указывается, какие типы ссылок допускается создавать на него, а так-же какая используется модель совместного доступа к переменной.
Весь механизм подсчета ссылок и проверки их корректности реализован на уровне синтаксиса. В рантайме выполняется только контроль идентификатора потока для однопоточных ссылок, а все остальные проверки выполняются во время компиляции.

If majority has to use custodians, the government can enforce the custodians to comply with central bank regulations. That is why to end central banking it is essential to provide an affordable and easy path for masses to self-custody their sats.
Old bitcoiners don't seem to care enough about nocoiners who won't be able to own an utxo soon, even if they want, unless Bitcoin scales better. They think "I can pay the onchain fees, my wealth goes up together with the fees". They should think twice, because Bitcoin is more valuable if it is not controlled by governments, which is only possible if the majority of users self-custody coins. Otherwise even rich bitcoiners will have to pass KYC and AML processes to spend Bitcoin, because a seller of goods is likely to use some custodian, which is likely to be controlled by the state.
So even for old egoist bitcoiners it is rational to support some safe scaling solutions, which do not undermine the core properties of Bitcoin.

datacarriersize affects standardness, not consensus rules, so if there is any unfair advantage related to this parameter, it is on relay step. If you consider this unfair, all you can do is changing the parameter locally, so your node doesn't relay or broadcast such txs, but other miners can still mine such transactions and you have to accept them, otherwise it is a fork. Anyway, my transactions pass and mine, so I don't care if their transactions mine as well, if they satisfy the consensus rules. You think their transactions should not be mined? Justify this, otherwise it is just an arbitrary censorship. Preventing them from relaying seems useless, since they already cooperate with miners.
