@npub198t…hasj BTW, the prices mentioned sound extremely low. I'm in Poland and £40 for getting nails done like this would be cheap in a small town. Meanwhile the article mentions £30 in the UK?!

@npub1vz5…qdta Całkiem śmiesznie jest, jak w Londynie na polski dowód daje się otworzyć konto, a Brytyjczyk musi przynosić stosy dokumentów, w tym np. list od proboszcza (albo innej osoby zaufania publicznego). No dobra, z tym listem to przesadzam, to nie do konta było potrzebne, tylko... Do brytyjskiego paszportu.

But I wish the ecosystem would mature enough that e.g. my dad wouldn't be afraid to make the switch. (It's getting there, and fast, but it's still a few years off)

@npub14k2…ed68 For a more southern direction, a different choice of apps. I wish this was more streamlined, I enjoy the #EV driving but couldn't recommend it to someone not fluent with juggling many phone apps to plan a trip.

@npub1psd…9sr7 @npub1e8z…0er4 I mean, as a kid in Poland, I've been driven in Fiat 126p. There were no other cars. Trying to get into it as an adult though, not so much. And the crumple zone, well. There's an old joke: in German cars the crumple zone ends at the engine. In Fiat 126p, too.
(It's a rear engined car)
Tried recently: I don't fit into a modern Fiat 500 or the Mini Cooper. Toyota Yaris is fine, though.

@npub1e8z…0er4 @npub1psd…9sr7 funny enough, the fuel consumption on those two is the same.
And perhaps not so funny, Countryman is only a few cm larger than the modern Golf. It's definitely not a big car by modern standards. Heck I don't **fit **in the current Mini (haven't tried the Countryman). I can't imagine squeezing into the original.

@npub1g0t…tvm4 I do my recycling, though I think my compost heap is much more significant, on individual level.
When it comes to plastics, large part of the attention put to recycling them is generated by the manufacturers, I'm afraid. Pushback against companies is much more effective - against mixing/glueing materials, against using materials that aren't actually recyclable, and so on. For an individual, it's an absurd amount of work.
