Apparently, mastodon.social is getting a little out of hand with the bots (I've already blocked a few), so I'm considering switching servers.
To those in the #WritingCommunity, is there one server that's better than another?
Writing.exchange would be nice, but I recall that being private and now closed to new users (I think?). I'm also considering:

-indieauthors.social
Any thoughts? I'm open to suggestions. Thanks! 😊

(I suppose I'm not forced to do that... I could just disconnect for a couple of hours, but I've never been good at setting boundaries.)

@npub17lj…kekj Thanks! Is the Kindle Scribe like the reMarkable? (It sounds similar.) I don't usually take notes as I read, but sometimes it would be nice to bookmark quotes or sections I enjoy.

I'll admit it: I don't own an e-reader.
At first, I was against them because I love physical books, and I didn't want e-readers to send libraries and bookstores the way of the dodo.
Clearly that hasn't happened. And now that I've met so many awesome self-pub'd authors here (and may self-pub myself someday soon), I feel I need to invest in one.
So I ask - which one is best? Is the Kindle still king, or has something else come out that's better?

Today I #AmWriting for the first time since 12 April. The background music of choice is a simple acoustic guitar, which is also what Emery hears when she wakes.
In fact, it's the first real music she hears ever.
