In the mid 60's there were ads in the paper for people to adopt indigenous kids for a fee of $10.00. I was only a kid myself, but this didn't feel right to me. I remember asking my dad why so many kids had no parents and he never answered.

Whew! It's done! I've been working in this filet crochet tablecloth since last December. Sunflower pattern (free!) on Ravelry. #20 cotton thread, . 75mm Japan steel hook, 15 X 50 gram balls of Anchor Freccia threads, made in Hungary. It's a wedding present for the woman from Ukraine (hosted her for 2 years). She went back in June.

For the life of me, why is social assistance so heavily regulated right down to the food products someone on assistance can purchase? For a country that screams freedom at the drop of a bubble, it looks so bizzare.

It is absolutely horrifying that so many posts are predicting the loss by Biden. It feels like that is the desired outcome! If Americans truly want to eliminate Trump, the headlines and posts need to change. Granted the major media is all republican bought and owned, but come on, do Americans really want to vote Trump and the Project 2025 in?

The chart called for 6 trees, but I adjusted for 5 to fit my table. Filet crochet, 1.1mm steel Japan hook, Anchor Vintage threads #20. I put it on a piece of red satin to bring the pattern forward.

Who can trust anyone who says they actually recycle? I know I'm not tossing the things in the dump. I can only trust that Cdn Tire will recycle my expired smoke detector responsibily.

If a private business is approached for a contract, they can always just say no, too busy. They don't have to impose their religious or political views on anyone.
These cases are so stupid.
