It’s really struck me hard how many unions turned out to be pro-infection and would even punish union members for trying to protect themselves. As in union leadership punishing members for upgrading to a respirator.

Wow, a bit mind blowing but I guess not surprising. Ventilation at Ontario Government buildings and court houses all have been upgraded with 800ppm targets.

At Chicago’s deli on Roncy a worker there told my mother in law covid is over and she should stop wearing a mask.
This was after she pretended to not being able to hear her order.
She told the cashier that the worker needs to keep it to herself and will be complaining to the owner when she sees them next.

Seriously, this is some ridiculous garbage the CPC is pushing.
Check out the small print. They say axe the tax which has been framed to mean the carbon tax, but they are talking, carbon tax, gas tax, AND GST. Next they think the "average" Canadian uses 2040L of gas in the summer. That is 680L a month, which is $1088 PER MONTH. We are talking about filling up every other day.
For the record, this average family (mine) used 160L of gas last month.

Just because public health says masks are no longer required doesn’t mean it’s not in your best interest to wear one.
Just because the pilot turned off the seat belt light doesn’t mean it’s not in your best interest to keep it on.
It is not uncommon for planes to hit unidentified patches of turbulence. It’s something that has happened since the start of flight. Every so often someone literally breaks a neck. It was maybe a decade ago seeing a story about a flight attendant being paralyzed from turbulence that I switched to leaving my belt on at all times except when needing to use the washroom.

we’ve thought about it, but this tree is nice and big and does a nice job shading our bedroom and kitchen in the summer but letting the sun in in the winter.
The tree has to be 30-40 years old. Would be a lot of work to remove it and a decade or more before anything is as big.

I need a chat with whoever planted the crab apple tree in our front yard.
The colour of the blooms match the leaves so you really can’t tell the tree is in bloom. Then it drops its petals and we drag them into the house on our shoes.
I love a good fruit tree but we have none of the beauty and all of the mess.

I see a lot of concern about criticizing liberal leaders for fear of the conservative one from getting in.
I get the concern, and it's a bigger one in the states.
But I also don't think we should pull punches in criticizing leaders for fear of the other getting elected.
My worry is that if the liberal leader thinks your vote is a lock in they will just move policy to the right to pick up those voters. In a way I think they do need to be worried about losing your vote on election day. Otherwise you'll just end up with a liberal leader implementing a conservative policy.
Which come to think of it, we are kind of there already in both countries.
