As part of my ongoing attempt to whittle down Linux distros as my daily driver next October, I downloaded the iso for Fedora KDE so I can learn how its package manager works. I'm starting to lean in that direction; I like the rolling release idea but I need some stability.

The new update to @npub15c0…hxke changed the way the UI works and I'm not really a fan. I'm okay with increasing the size of the UI elements but something about the spacing feels "off" somehow.

Utterly phenomenal episode of Haunted Cosmos. If you're a Christian and a lover of mythology/fantasy, this podcast is a must-listen because, well, the world isn't made up of "just stuff". Even if you're not Christian, you still might find it interesting!

@npub1tps…9rmt Better yet, get rid of taxes entirely. If we have to have tax, stick with sales tax, toll roads and the like. Income tax is particularly disgusting.

With the news of what #Cellebrite is capable of with phones, it's a good reminder that ultimately, you just cannot secure a phone like you can a desktop PC. Sure, some people are able to use a custom ROM but for the majority of people, that's not viable (unfortunately).
While you can certainly lock down your phone and exercise your constitutional rights (NEVER use biometrics), it's far from foolproof.
