The catch is that they plan to monetize it. Everything goes through their BGS process for collection, which seems like a good way to collect user data and sell or otherwise use it for advertising on their platform.

Federating alone won't make it "billionaire-proof." The company can be bought and the federation closed. I'm not sure what they want to accomplish with their reimplementation of federation protocols that are not compatible with established protocols like APub. It seems like a fracture that doesn't really need to happen. They've done a good job at replicating the bird site though.

I just started it up and nope! The Ender 3 Neo is the redheaded stepchild of #3DPrinting. No one supports it out of the box except for Creality Slicer, and that's garbage. I will definitely have to go through that site you sent me and tune it all up. I can't wait to see what this thing can actually do!

Thanks! I've been figuring out the presets in Cura are trash so being as such, customizing them a lot. I just downloaded OrcaSlicer and I'll use it the next time I need something printed.

I know over-heating the PLA can cause stringing really bad. I've been dealing with that for the last few days with PLA+. Trying to find the right temp can be difficult.

Sometimes, it's hard to keep up with everything I want to. I haven't even checked on my #fediverse instances in a while. Should probably do that.
I got into #3dPrinting this week and it's been a rollercoaster ride. It's finally printing as it should! It helps to have the right firmware!
On the #retrogaming side, I'm still waiting for my #AnaloguePocket to ship and my #PSP should get here tomorrow. And then there's the #PSVita I just ordered from Japan. #GodsSaveMe
