In the last month, the #SanFrancisco #COVID stats pages have stopped working for me in firefox. Those pages, particularly positivity rate, have been very useful for the last 4 years because you could see a spike starting and take extra precautions until it passed.
I even tried firefox in safe mode to check if the problem was one of my extensions (it's not).
However, the pages do work correctly in chromium.
So, we have to use a google product to know when the next surge in positivity rate begins?
I left feedback on the web site FWIW.

@elaterite@fosstodon Hiking up that road once, the wind blew my hat off, and I felt I had no choice but to run straight down the side of the cone after it, before it bounced and rolled too far away. I caught up to it and slogged back up, a bit tired but protected from the intense summer sun.

Watch out for bait-and-switch signature gatherers.
A guy in Civic Center had 4 measures, three CA and one SF. He presented them in a clever order. The first two were:
1. extend a temporary measure (I think it had been a good prop a few years ago) to fund and provide senior health care
2. fund medicine for children.
Both were sponsored by reputable-looking health care non-profits and advocacy groups.
Then he presented a measure that was completely incomprehensible and sponsored by the California Apartment Association (and nobody else). Maybe the CAA isn't always wrong, but it was impossible for me to tell in this case. Nope.
Finally, the SF measure would clearly and absolutely hamstring the ability of the SF government to, um, govern. Guess who the sponsor was. Michael Moritz. Nope so hard.
Be careful who you give your signature to. Read everything.

What saves it for me are the edges: the waterfront, Crane Cove, Mission Creek, the Embarcadero, Dogpatch.
The inland parts are a mix of Monsieur Hulot in PlayTime, the cafeteria of a tech company, and (now) a gleaming American stadium and its satellites.

#[0] Mission Bay seems like the most direct attempt to reproduce that European model, and it's not terrible, but it has a long way to go before it feels like a real neighborhood.
