My stack is (currently) SQLite - perhaps PocketBase (some) GO/HTMX for my admin/backend. Then SK for web app.

@npub16uk…pv7k Agreed. I do wonder what the useful alternatives are. Its not something many governments will directly spend money developing. Much easier to use existing services especially if heavily lobbied. Services not promoted by UK gov. Current lot's latest wheeze is setting up a government whatsapp channel ffs.

@npub16uk…pv7k The software I helped develop is used for surveying teacher voice at a national level in the UK and has provided a very important counter to gov narratives especially during COVID.
Its not for children though and is not a service thats tied in anywhere else.
UK education landscape is very different to NZ.

@npub16uk…pv7k Bottom line though is making sure we have equivalent services enabled that achieve the same. The chromebook and cloud based doc solutions are a) ubiquitous and b) genuinely useful. So whats the alternative plan.
(I know there exist alternatives but not what the overall service would look like).
(Same with microsoft)

@npub19lt…qfjk Pretty sure @npub1nxp…8flq has built a client side location lookup that doesn't send your exact location to the server. Could perhaps build something with that to then post an openmaps link to a mastodon instance?
