Anyone here or know anyone who helps people recover funds or expose crypto scams? I have a friend who sounds like he is going to throw more money at a problem that is probably a lost cause, but he has a record of some tether txns to the scammy company which is supposedly based in the cayman islands. And I think Paolo said that it would be possible to stop the company from using tether if they got the order from authorities. The health system is completely corrupt. People today are chronically ill & obese, & that was not the case prior to modern nutrition recommendations & the rise of vegetable oils in place of animal fats. The very fact that you have no awareness of this is probably a solid indication that you're fat.
More kids are overweight today than ever before. Many of them a getting fatty liver disease which we induce in ducks to produce foie gras by force feeding them sugary grains. Farmers fatten basically all livestock with grains & veg oils. It's really only people who cannot think for themselves & who blindly trust authority that are incapable of seeing what I am saying.

I actually started this diet because of gut issues. Following doctor recommendations made my gut problems significantly worse. Increasing fiber & "whole grains" caused severe pain & inflammation. I had intestinal colitis & I was probably headed for a chrones diagnosis if I had continued eating the way our corrupt health system recommends, but all of that was completely cured by removing all grains, veg oils, & reducing carbs. The truth is that we cannot digest fiber & so it is devoid of any nutritional benefit & bassically just an irritant. Plants in general are devoid of key nutrients & contain toxins like oxalate, lectins, saponins, tannins, etc. The "studies" that say otherwise (as your article touts) are paid for by cereal companies & other corrupt corporations that want people to believe their "plant based," addictive, cheap to produce & store & ship, high profit margin, garbage is healthier than meat & eggs & butter which are actual foods. I have been on a grain free low carb diet for 12+ years & I have been carnivore for 7 of those years.

Money is half of every trade. Money literally touches everything. Bitcoin is the most scarce form of money to ever exist. All through history, people who chose to cling to less scarce forms of money when a newer more scarce form emerged got wiped out. Bitcoin is basically a black hole for economic value, everyone doesn't have to accept it for it to win, so long as it doesn't break or get corrupted it will win. It would probably win even if it got corrupted at this point because it is far less corrupt than the fiat system(s). Monetary debasement is the root of the rising cost of living, the root of most of the poverty that remains in the world, the root of the wars that are being fought, the corruption of healthcare & nutrition, the fact that many things aren't made to last, & none of the world's major govts can exist in anything like their current forms without monetary debasement. #Bitcoin fixes far more than most people have the capacity to see. That's why we say "Fix the money, fix the world." All the people I know who have spent thousands of hours studying the subject agree, it's generally only those who haven't who don't.

The way I understand it is that subjective value is a function of knowing what the thing can do. I have to know how to make use of crude oil or it might have a negative value to me, like it did for everyone for thousands of years. Knowing how to use bitcoin (in the most basic sense) is a prerequisite to valuing it as a tool for savings or as a formof money. The knowledge required to value anything is not guaranteed & it is not connected to the thing itself, so there is no intrinsic value.

Actual opinion. The best baby foods are literally just blended organic adult foods, I'm not sure what else anyone would imagine they are... But most people don't understand the chronic inflammation & mood problems they create in their child when they feed them all the sugar in juice & the super carby foods that are largely devoid of the bioavailable nutrition of fatty meat. Shitcoin wallets often aren't trusworthy or secure. Someone was just recently posting about how they lost bitcoin making a transaction with cake wallet.
No matter how easy a wallet claims to make the swap there is still an opportunity cost to holding monero instead of bitcoin. The exchange value floats & monero does not hold value the way bitcoin does.
If there is a large bitcoin only ecosystem, & there is a shitcoin friendly ecosystem, but the common denominator is that everyone accepts bitcoin, then Bitcoin's network effect ultimately drowns out everything else.
Current darknet markets are a deadend. The next iteration will be on networks that are more user friendly & more robust than tor, & some layer on bitcoin (probably ecash that swaps to lightning) will likely be the currency of choice. All of the serious p2p projects I know of are being built by bitcoiners.

It has no exchange value risk & has similar long term storage characteristics to bitcoin (relative to lightning) without the risk of closed channels or long txn wait times & high onchain costs. So it is particularly good for onboarding newbs. Lightning is being used to bridge ecash, arks, liquid, & any other L2 that anyone can dream up. It's the best of all worlds.
There is an opportunity cost & exchange value risk to holding Monero, there is less acceptance, & swapping between Bitcoin & Monero is much more complicated. Swapoing between Lightning, Liquid, & Bitcoin is much simpler.

For anyone who can't get into The Last Airbender in the first couple of episodes (it is a children's show) then it might be worth trying the first season of The Legend of Korra, it is a little more grown up. Irrational feelings divorced from economic realities are a large part of the problem. You cannot reduce scarcity by confiscating the rewards of productivity from people who produce. You can only exacerbate the problem by destroying the desire to be productive. The way to reduce poverty is to make it easier to be productive. Handouts, when they aren't destructive, generally achieve very little.
Tom's Shoes actually destroyed shoe maker businesses in many African communities by handing out shoes. Even private charity can do more harm than good. We are a trading species, "altruism" is generally retarded.

Stealing isn't sharing. We are in the mess we are in, politically & economically because people who think it's okay to steal from others are in positions of power that allow them to steal from everyone. But there are people at all levels of society & particularly among the poor who believe that stealing from others is an acceptable way to "share" the wealth. Whether poor or affluent, weak or powerful, people who believe that theft is justifiable are the sort of parasitic trash that cause everyone to suffer.

I wouldn't recommend that liberty loving people live anywhere near a place that might contain thousands of the sort of retarded savages who can be worked into a socialist mob, but guns tend to make people scatter even when their numbers are large. The people leading the charge aren't thinking "you can't kill us all" they are thinking "I don't want to get shot." Patriotism was basically invented because self preservation naturally tends to take over in battle. A socialist mob will never be motivated by much of anything beyond basic greed & envy.

I think it's mostly a technical problem. If the 10% who want to live by the NAP can build the tools to protect themselves from the rest then basically anyone who would like to be free eventually could be. Bitcoin is one such tool, keet & nostr may be important in this fight too, 3d printed guns may play a role, energy & other things are also important... The sociopaths are destroying their own system, a big part of the game may just be out lasting them.
We already live in a sort of authoritarian version of a polycentric legal system. If we can use tech & agorism & maybe political influence at different levels to carve out bubbles of greater freedom & production then we can show the contrast between our way of life & the ever declining living standards under corrupt & fiscally irresponsible govts. Conservative states & liberal cities already do a decent job of demonstrating the insanity of govt worship. People aren't fleeing liberal cities & states by accident.
No matter what ideology people claim to support, they always work to escape the shitholes that are eventually produced by socialist policies.
