@npub19tu…v76m @npub1psd…9sr7 I'd have been fine with the touchbar if it was above the line of function keys rather than replacing it. Like I didn't use it a lot, but... in multi-monitor mode, for example, there would be controls for each monitor on the touchbar. And scrubbing through video in iMovie was handy.

@npub1psd…9sr7 I honestly don't think many people *could* match Steve in terms of his vision or near superhuman ability to micromanage, but under Tim there's been a clear shift towards profit as the primary motivator. In the past few years, Apple has released products that I don't think Steve would have ever approved. I don't think that makes Tim a "bad CEO" necessarily, but the company feels somehow rudderless versus how it was before.

@npub1psd…9sr7 When the pandemic hit, they started doing all internal communications via high-end pre-recorded video very similar to the WWDC format. It's extremely weird. There's now no opportunity to interact with leadership live.

@npub189n…satx @npub1jsz…42fk I think there's some deep societal trauma going on here and people, from our leaders on down, are really not dealing with it very well. Seeing masks is a reminder that this isn't over and a lot of folks aren't willing to deal with that.
