@npub1tjm…kp7d I recognize the literal take of this passage. Although, food for thought... Is it possible Jesus is warning against calling hypocrites "father & teacher?" Is it a prohibition against using these terms under any circumstance or a warning not to use it undeservedly?
It eas a term applied by early Christian communities to bishops & presbyters. "Teacher" is used in John 3:10, Acts 13:1, 1Cor 12:28, Eph 4:11, & 2Tim 1:11.
