both are good but checkpoints create mini goals. However, sometimes checkpoint can create frustration.
For autosave I need the option to go back to an earlier save and not just the most recent.

In 1800 the right to bear arms was very restricted. Guns were considered very unreliable and not valid means of self defense.
If you were in a militia you were not allowed to use the guns your purchased for militia use for personal use, and were often stored in the militia bunker.

I agree that if you don't plan continually working on the game (improvements but also changes for future compatibility) and if server costs are minimal I, as a consumer, prefer a single fixed cost.
And I hate ads in stuff I pay for.

Think about how many hours of fun any individual might have. I rethought my purchasing and am now willing to pay more for stuff I use every day, including games. I don't know what the market is like but do consider more than 99 cents if you think someone is going to have than a weekend of fun.

This reminds me of a story someone posted on how much money they make from a DIY car wash she bought. Seller-financed and only takes her a few hours a week to keep it running and her huge profits. But no mention of setting side money for future repair costs. She might be doing OK but what are profits after the inevitable repair/replacement costs.
And not everyone can find someone selling a profitable business and willing to finance the sale that provides passive income.

I always have mixed feelings on this. I didn't need the items shown when I bought my last iPhone but I think Apple should offer them for free on request when purchasing a phone. The biggest need is probably for USB-C cables for people moving from a lightening port. They might also need a new power plug since they probably have a USB-A plug.
My iPhone 15Pro might have come with the USB-C cable, I just don't remember.

As a college student around 1980 I had a lot of dental work done at the University of Michigan Dental School. Everything took hours longer than at a regular dentist but I got top notch care (later dentists would comment on work done on my teeth) and it was super cheap. Gold inlays for $12. $36 to have all 4 wisdom teeth removed. I had time but not money.
I don't know how many poor people had that much time.

Unfortunately NYC is going to be more expensive than northern Virginia, and out cost of living is high.
But this brings out a major problem. Teeth health is important to overall health. Dental insurance seems like an afterthought. And health insurance as a benefit grew out of WWII salary freezes, companies used health ins to attract workers.

OMG, that is outrageous. I have too many crowns, my dentist isn't cheap, I live in a high income area, and a crown is like $1,000. And really well done and well fit. I don't know the economics of crown making but the price you mention seems out of line. What you pay should be similar to my price or lower.
One year I put off getting a crown to the next insurance year. Turns out the ins company based benefits on the calendar instead of ins year so I paid full out of pocket

I understand the replacing the tooth, that was always expensive. I think my father-in-law wanted to save the tooth and felt that if the patient saw him much earlier it could have been done easily. My wife remembers calls at 11pm from someone suddenly wanting the tooth out right away. But you are correct in that I have no idea what would have been involved in saving the tooth, e.g. a crown.
Also, dental insurance is very limited in what is covered in a year.

Dentists being treated differently from doctors when it comes to insurance and govt programs probably has more to do with accident than any deliberate policy.
But our attitudes can be strange. My father-in-law was a rural dentist staring in 1961. I would hear the stories of people refusing routine care and then calling him at midnight at home wanting a tooth pooled. No interest in saving the tooth. I don't know if it was a cost thing since my FIL was occasionally paid in chickens.

what are the barriers that need to be removed to have more Black people to have leading positions on the Democratic Party? That is my belief that what it takes for Black voices to be heard. But am I approaching this wrong?
