(a) Most dangerously, *this is non-falsifiable*. There is no way for you to know whether a trans woman online is really a trans woman or a cis man pretending to be a trans woman.
(b) This has strong echos of bathroom bill supporters saying men will pretend to be trans women to assault cis women.
(c) This is a huge right-wing trope. Given transphobia in society writ large, why would anyone who is cis pretend to be trans, even here?

You cannot solve the Hamas problem with bombs.

Yes, of course Hamas killing innocent Israelis is wrong and must be condemned. But the timeline doesn't start from Oct 7. It starts much earlier, at the violent expropriation of land and mass expulsion of Palestinians that defines the creation of Israel. Bibi has done what Hitler and Putin could not: he has gotten the world to aid and abet a genocide. India under the British was at peace until it wasn't (Gandhi and others started organizing a coordinated resistance). Jim Crow US was at peace until it wasn't (MLK and Malcom X and others started organizing a coordinated resistance).
Peace does not mean justice. There needs to be justice and an abolishment to apartheid.

The crack and powder cocaine disparity was manufactured to brutalize black communities while being more lenient on white ones. Gay marriage was forbidden until literally less than a decade ago. Trans people were basically forbidden from existing until...now-ish. Disparities are baked into every aspect of our legal system, so when you uphold the law, you uphold and defend those disparities.

Anyone know of good, _simple_ self-hosted gallery software? I don't need ML/AI. I don't need facial recognition. I just want a simple gallery that automatically picks up images I throw into a particular directory, ideally reading their metadata to figure out albums and stuff. That's really it.

#Reddit is really screwing themselves over by undeleting posts and comments, IMO. Lots of people who were neutral on the API thing will likely be annoyed at having earlier comments and posts undeleted. Not to mention that it will likely lead to a #GDPR lawsuit at some point.
It's clear that they're desperate to break the mod strike and user exodus any way they can. Other than, you know, actually addressing the concerns.
