In the current iOS 18/macOS 15 beta cycle I have raised 36 Feedbacks with Apple. Not a single one has been commented on or changed status.
I made an effort to be a good tester and do the right thing but all I really did was waste my time. Won't bother with that again.

This. This is so spot on. I could rant for days about the damage Thatcher & Reagan did to the world. People think Obama and the orange guy were consequential presidents - they weren't. They didn't really do anything much. We're still living in a Reagan/Thatcher world!

@npub1utv…87lr I get it "free" with Prime which is paid for just for deliveries really, so I've always considered Prime Video a little bonus that I wouldn't otherwise pay for. So from that PoV I'm ok with some ads (just about).
(The whole pay + ads thing in general is a blight but, urgh, the modern world)

@npub1sdu…w074 Right, exactly. So making people buy other cables - when they have perfectly good Lighting cables already - is the annoying part.
Small example. I have a 3" USB-A>Lightning cable in the car - all of the family phones can use it. Next week I need to buy another cable for the car (more waste) and now we have to swap cables depending on who is driving. Pain in the arse.
This does zero to help the environment and may hurt it. It's the paper straws of high tech 😀
