Prices are high. However, there’s a substantial subsidy from Denmark. So the living standard is high. There’s plenty of seafood and lamb and musk, oxen, and reindeer that is sourced locally. And there is quite a lot of potato farming in the south.

Something I learned thanks to #Bitcoin …something not taught in schools! …how we got into era of endless war… how a Bitcoin standard can end the evil…. on a fixed money supply, politicians would have to ask the public to pay for the war by raising taxes, which the public would probably be against. It’s like asking us to pay for a war instead of taking a holiday. Instead, politicians print more money and that makes the public pay for the wars by inflation!

It’s not just that the miners can power down when electricity demand spikes, the electricity costs too much when demand spikes so the mining becomes unprofitable. It still is advantageous to mine next to wind and solar when grid demand is low and so mining is profitable, energy not wasted. Win win.
