Moon peeping through patchy clouds.
I see this colour halo often enough, but catching it on the sensor isn't always easy. To get the colour means a completely over exposed moon most of the time - unless it's just in the right place behind the clouds.

Nifty. As they're pretty close to 0.6/1.6, I just add a half and a tenth to go km -> mi, and add that to the original value to go the other way mi -> km. Some prefer to divide by 5 then multiply by 3 (same 0.6 ratio) but I find 2 simple additions to be easier (for my brain).

Wakes up. Excellent, camera and tripod is still there, it didn't rain, hot water bottles still keeping me warm, and the camera battery hasn't run out yet (1100+ images over 5+ hours).
Open car door. Wander over to camera. Check the current shot. Daylight leaking in, aurora is faint, at best.
Power off, gear in car, home, bed, sleep lying down (for a change). Wake up around 1pm. Hopefully enough to get through tonight.
Coffee!
Ready for another night under the stars. Let's go!

Curious if anyone else has noticed their digital camera does CA correction and sharpening to the in-camera images by default, when using a manual lens?
I'm almost certain the x-t4 is correcting mine, as the internal jpeg has less CA and is sharper than the raw (taking the scaling into account). While I can set the default jpeg sharpening to it's minimum value, there doesn't appear to be an "off", and there are no camera options for CA at all.
