@nprofile…gffv I have not tried Shadows of Doubt yet, I have some hope it can maybe do this. Otherwise, I think the closest it ever got for me was Dwarf Fortress, which obviously has its own ways to break immersion. I have high hopes for Nivalis, hopefully coming next year.

@nprofile…gffv @nprofile…v3kj I had the same thoughts playing Cyberpunk2077. The big budget open world games are only deep enough to be backgrounds for driving through them.

@nprofile…kxav nice! One thing I'd add is having the grain follow one direction (on all sides along 1 axis). But the overall feel is really wood-like, feels warm to the touch :)

@nprofile…kxav the wood material got my focus here, very believable and feels warm to the touch even though it's rendered. I remember I had to figure out a similar material for things like polished furniture once and could never get the edges right, especially with the wood grain. Congrats, the fact that you do so many small projects is really motivating to me
