Trying to think of interesting use cases for a toy/reference ActivityPub implementation, ideally of the shape:
1. Public data
2. Multi-faceted (ie there would be different channels/authors/etc that someone could subscribe to)
3. Dynamic, and changes at least once a day.
Please help us think of something more exciting than "stock data". Stock data is boring.

After poking around more, I thiiiink we can do something here using Mastodon's built-in APIs pretty trivially. Not quite the same thing as an unopinionated ActivityPub bridge, but as Andy said RSS works as an interface for that for folks who want to get technical (whereas I think most folks just want to be able to auto-publish toots for their new issues!)

It's tempting to imagine an 11ty-specific plugin for Buttondown, but I don't think at actually adds anything useful. RSS is such a good cross-platform bridge — it's a high bar to beat.
